And so the story comes to today, a time to honor this woman who served, wept, comforted, and cared for so many people. Emily was passionate, intelligent, and bright. Emily was vibrant, sensitive, and caring. Emily was intuitive, a wonderful listener who showed an immense amount of empathy towards everyone she met. Emily was feisty, strong-willed, determined to succeed. Emily was a true leader who loved everyone, having a way of making people feel accepted even when the situation didn't call for it. Emily loved her friends; they were so important to her; she tried to help everyone become a better person. Emily loved her family. Emily loved her husband.

Emily Ora Soule Hesse kicked her way into this world, and the world was a better place for it. Today we mourn the loss of this shining star. We will miss you, Emily, weep for you, long for you, ache for you. You have left a gaping hole in our lives. We will always remember you, and the world will remember you through the lives of the people you touched. Finally, we will always be sustained by the eternal hope that Emily firmly believed in, the hope of eternal life in Christ Jesus where losses will never happen, only reunions.
