EARLY CHILDHOOD
During Emily's first few years here on Earth, she already began to show her characteristics of love and care. Dad noticed this as he would pick her up before going to work. Emily would immediately pee and/or throw up on Dad, perhaps due to Dad's sense of fashion?
She also began to develop a keen sense of God working in her life. The Soule washer and dryer were located outside the house. One day it was extremely cold and the W/D was frozen. Mom had all these diapers to wash, was pregnant w/Bekah, and just could not get the W/D to work! Mom and Emily prayed about it, and then Mom called the service place, who told her to warm up the W/D by putting a lightbulb by the water pipe. That worked, which did not surprise Emily in the least. When asked about it, Emily replied, "Yeah, Mom called God and He told her how to fix it!"
Finally, from a very little age Dad told Emily that she was the big sister. This was extremely important to Emily. Once, at a big family gathering when Emily was younger, she and a friend forced poor Bekah to walk across Jess's crib. Emily and her friend demonstrated by crawling across the crib, but told Bekah that since she was younger, she had to walk. Bekah tried… and proceeded to break her collarbone.
